About Rocky Mount, North Carolina
Rocky Mount is a major center for youth traveling sports as a midpoint between New York and Florida. The city follows its tagline as “The Center of It All,” as it is a leader in sports tourism with multi-million dollar facilities including the Rocky Mount Sports Complex and the Rocky Mount Event Center. Rocky Mount serves as a family-friendly city with a renowned Battle Park walking/jogging trail along the Tar River, live music and shows at its Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences, and an ever-evolving group of private investors in the food and tourism industries at the Rocky Mount Mills.
Wesleyan College
North Carolina Wesleyan College (NCWC) isa 4-year co-educational college founded in 1956. With a foundation in the liberal arts, the college prepares students for successful careers, professional advancement, life-long learning and responsible participation in their communities.The college is located in Rocky Mount, NC, on a beautiful 200 acre campus. There are nine residence halls, eight townhouses, nine academic and main buildings, and a performing arts center. The outdoor athletic facilities include tennis courts and fields for baseball, intramurals, soccer, lacrosse and softball. The college is affiliated with the NCAA Division IIIand the USA South Athletic Conference. There are 15 intercollegiate sports teams formen and women, as well asmany different clubs, organizations and intramurals available to keep you actively involved on campus
